Grin and Bear It #2 (GABI)

So I was volunteered to start a blog, at the last wellness meeting. I thought it wouldn't be a bad idea to start it up.

I am not sure what to write about but I figure I will write a little bit about me and some training.

So a little bit about me, I am 25 years old and just started doing triathlons in this past fall. I finished two sprints in the fall, and was hooked.

So far this season I have attempted one sprint (DNFed it had a bike accident) and completed one olympic distance. I have 2 more sprint distances and a half iron man planned, for the rest of the season.

So, yesterdays work out. I recently joined this tri team, endurance multisport and twice a month they hold a mini triathlon. .2 mile swim, 10 mile bike, and 1.5 mile run, at the Bear Creek Resort in Macungie. It is a pretty hilly and tough course, but it is a good work out. This was my second time doing this course and was pretty excited. The first time I didn't know what to expect and was tired from prior work outs, but this time I felt more refreshed and excited going into it. Since it was a running clock and there was not break down of time, I walked thru the transitions and just had fun, but I wound up beating my time by 5 minutes. This is a HUGE amount of time. I beasted all the up hills and the flats on the bike course (I go slow down hill, I don't want another bike accident) and had a solid swim and run. So over-all I was really proud of my work out.
